ANDERSON, S.C. – Hill Electric recently hired Angela Gardner to step into the newly created position of Director of Business Development and Marketing. Gardner brings to the company nearly three decades of both industry-specific experiences in construction, engineering, and architecture, and an equally deep knowledge in the disciplines of marketing and business development. Her role within Hill Electric includes representing the company in the community, building its brand and strengthening its impact, and much more. Some of Angela’s first initiatives at Hill Electric included creating a tagline with the team, hiring a consulting team for marketing, website development, and more, and growing her network in the manufacturing sector.

“As our company has continued to grow, we really felt we needed someone to help grow it with us. Angela is highly involved in the community and the industry, and we are excited to have her on board in this role,” said Mike Davis, President of Hill Electric.

Gardner’s career is peppered with significant accomplishments that enhance her new role within Hill Electric. For twenty years, she served in her family’s business, with half that time leading the company as its president. In her mid-forties, she pivoted and, with strategic thought and dedication, blazed a new career path that she has enjoyed with much success. She operates from a big-picture business perspective while understanding the important nuances inherent in small and compliant-rich enterprise.

She co-founded the Women in Construction Forum and is currently involved in the SC Skilled Trade Alliance, Golden Strip Trail, CREW Upstate, CREW Network and FAVOR Greenville. She has also served as a board or committee member for the Peace Center for the Performing Arts, Better Business Bureau (locally and nationally), Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association of Greenville.
