Workforce development is extremely important to our Hill Electric team. We are constantly training our own team while also studying and learning ourselves, determined to stay on top of the latest technology and services. Pushing ourselves to remain at the forefront of our industry is vital to our success, as our own knowledge equates to better service for our clients. And after all—we wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for our clients.

Our education program includes technical training, safety training, and one-on-one jobsite visits. We’re also extremely involved in the Anderson and Upstate of South Carolina communities, visiting high schools, career centers, technical colleges, and universities. When visiting these centers, we conduct mock interviews with the students to prepare them to enter the workforce. We also provide technical training to these students in an effort to prepare them with a “real-world” experience.

We believe so much in the future of our workforce that we even award scholarships to Anderson School Districts’ I and II Career and Technology (ACTC) graduating students pursuing a technical degree or certificate.

“Real World” experience we offer:

  • Lift training (most popular)
  • Fall protection and prevention
  • Electrical safety
  • Arc flash awareness
  • Lock-out tag-out
  • Introductory circuits
  • Basic transformer application theory
  • Introduction to electrical material
  • Myths and electrical facts
  • A typical day in the life of an industrial electrician
  • Customized lesson based on what is being taught in the classroom
  • Resume review
  • What is expected in the interview process
  • Soft-skills needed

Educating ourselves, our team, and our future: that’s the Hill Electric Difference.
