Opportunities

At Hill Electric Company, workforce development is one of our main core values and something we take great pride in. Our deep roots within the community have given us a unique opportunity to give back to the future skilled trade professionals of Upstate, South Carolina. We provide hands-on training to students in an effort to prepare them with a “real-world” experience. Over the years, we have partnered with organizations such as career centers, high schools with focused career development programs, technical colleges, and universities to offer in-depth student training in areas including:

Lift training
Fall protection and prevention
Electrical safety
Arc flash awareness
Lock-out tag-out
Introductory circuits

Basic transformer application theory
Introduction to electrical material
Myths and electrical facts
A typical day in the life of an industrial electrician

Customized lessons based on what is being taught in the classroom
Resume review
Interview training
Soft-skills

Some of the organizations we have provided additional support to prepare students for skilled trade jobs are: Anderson I & II Career and Technical Center, Anderson Institute of Technology, Crescent High School Construction Science Students, Donaldson Career Center, Greenville Technical College, and Clemson University.
